Before deciding to get involved with a
business opportunity, get answers to all
of the questions listed below.

• Do you already use the product or service that you will be buying? In other words, if your income was cut in half, would you still HAVE to buy that type of product?

• Would you buy this type of product or service if there was no business opportunity attached to it? The bottom line is, if you were NOT getting paid, would you recommend the product or service (is it really THAT good)?

• Is the amount you are spending with this company in line with what you are already spending at the store? Are you going to end up going INTO debt to get OUT of debt?

• Is there an investment required to make money? Do you have to invest more than just a nominal enrollment fee ($25-$30)?

• How much do you need to spend with the company to get a check? Most companies typically require you to buy from them. Look for a LOW - PERSONAL - per month purchase ($35-$45).

• Do you have to worry about inventory, packing, shipping, billing, collections and complicated paperwork? Wouldn't you rather have the company take care of all of these problems directly with your new customer?

• Can you still earn money even if you don't "work" the business? Can you just be a customer and earn commissions just as a customer?

• Will the company buy-back products from you? If you are not satisfied with something, how do you get your money back? And, how long will they honor refunds for? A good company will refund at least 90% of your money on all unused products, if you terminate your membership, for up to one year of enrolling.

• How about if you cancel your membership, can you get your money back for it too? If you are not satisfied with the business, will they refund your enrollment fee? And, how long do you have to make that request?

• Is someone getting paid for recruiting you? What is the person who is sponsoring you making from your enrollment fee? (No money should be paid out on your enrollment fee - this should simply cover the company's cost for your enrollment materials, usually referred to as your business kit.)

• Is the earning potential REAL, and how often do people reorder these products? Did someone SHOW or fax you a copy of their check and tell you what it took to earn it. OR did they refuse to prove anything? Did they show you their latest business report, listing how many people ordered and how long they have been doing so? You will commonly be told that "it's not allowed" to do this... GET THE PROOF YOU DESERVE!

• How are you going to learn what to do? Are there company sponsored training events, group support, and one-on-one help? Can you talk to others already involved to verify this is true? (It's okay to be skeptical!)
